J. Emerson McGowan was born in New Jersey on Holy Innocents Day -- a kind of oxymoronic statement. During his formative years, his interests tended toward knowing more about the physical environment in which he lived and spent a great deal of time sifting through and learning from the "debris" that Nature washed upon the shores; which is utilized in his life as an actor. He holds a BA and an MS Degree; both related to the Craft of Acting and the human condition.
