Matthew Ziff started his professional career at the early age of 2 months old as a model for a baby outfit. He continued with print ads for a few months longer till he was featured on Late Night with David Letterman. As a part of his immediate success in the modeling industry, he was signed by big time New York agency Wilhelmina Models. Over the next 15 years, Matthew continued with Wilhelmina Models, being featured in hundreds of print ads, toy boxes, magazines, books (Peter Pan, Hardy Boys), as well as numerous commercials and independent film. Some of these commercials include: Reddi whip, Fed Ex, BattleBots, Honda, and T Mobile (directed by Spike Lee, starring Dwayne Wade). At 10, Matthew was featured on Late Night with Conan O'Brien. At 15, Matthew was enrolled in the prestigious Blair Academy for his high school career. During his four years there he acted and starred in 5 shows. For his senior showcase Matthew directed and produced Eugene Ionesco's "The Bald Soprano" which sold out all of the nights it was performed. In May 2011, Matthew moved to Los Angeles, California. Matthew has been an active member of the Screen Actors Guild and AFTRA for over 10 years.
In addition to acting, Matthew is a 2nd degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, as well as studying Kendo and Hapkido. He has been a part of teams for most sports including Soccer, Wrestling, Baseball, and Crew (rowing). He is proficient on most forms of vehicles, including motorcycles, dirt bikes, ATVs, motored boats, and has raced Dodge Vipers on drag strips and road tracks. He has been trained with as a marksman with both rifles and pistols. In his spare time, Matthew plays saxophone (alto and baritone), guitar, and bass guitar. |
